ORGANIC LEMONADE CAKE

Crème Fraîche... the ingredient that makes me nostalgic and I've been wanting to play with it for ages...

Fresh cream from the dairy that was allowed to sour naturally in the past... the one that makes the lightest scones and fluffiest pancakes, and gives just the right balance of acidity and creaminess to basically everything.

In former days cream, unless eaten straight away, was allowed to sour naturally and become thicker, richer and slightly acid... and this is exactly what our lemonade cake is tightly wrapped in.

Do not confuse it with the soulless cream - crème fraîche is sour cream’s more sophisticated yet mild-mannered velvety French cousin.

Nostalgia Lemonade cake is a single layer almond, lemon and olive oil sponge, filled with our velvety lemon creme and wrapped tightly with our favourite crème fraîche with more and more of the good old lemon creme on the outside.

It will make you feel like the good old days...

Our Lemonade cake is not DF by default, however can be made DF if you have dairy intolerance (we hope you don't, because that sucks).

Australian almonds*, Australian organic eggs, organic raw sugar, organic Grampians olive oil, organic Meyer's award winning lemons from the organic Fanelli Farm, organic crème fraîche or organic coconut creme in DF option, organic coconut oil.
