You're invited to our breaking bread ritual... our last offering of this year.
The act of sharing a meal with its deep spiritual roots, from ancient rituals to modern tables, breaking bread connects us in profound ways.
Breaking bread creates a sense of equality, intimacy and safety. When everyone around you receive a portion of the same loaf, it reinforces our shared humanity, which is why bread breaking rituals have always been used to seal peace treaties and resolve conflicts throughout history.
In many cultures, offering bread and salt to a guest is a sign of welcome and protection. This tradition recognizes the sacred nature of hospitality and the transformative power of sharing food.
THE BREAD
We started the process of making this bread months ago, by aging our organic dried fruit in red wine.... once it matured enough we added it to our thick bread base made of organic almonds, organic and biodynamic eggs and organic coconut oil.
For the special festive note we added rich amount of large 75% chocolate chunks - from our friends Bahen & co, sustainably made chocolate sourced direct from farmers, with flavours of raspberry cream & citrus fruit.
And finished it off with biodynamic and slowly dried hazelnuts.
Our Bread is roughly 900g and you can break it with at least 10 people, if not more. You will receive it in a natural handmade kraft round box, and hand wrapped in organic raw calico fabric - you can keep and re-use both.
The Bread will last up to 7 days refrigerated or up to 3 months frozen. Please bring to room temperature or gently warm it in the oven for a few min or on a warm pan, for the ultimate experience.
It pairs well with organic tea, coffee, milk and cacao.
